One of Berlin's hotspots for photography lovers: C/O Berlin has turned its attention to contemporary photography in the Amerika Haus in Charlottenburg.

Since 2006 the non-profit institution has been presenting artistic positions that combine photography, architecture and design. After various stops in Mitte, C/O Berlin moved to Amerika Haus at Hardenbergstrasse 22, right next to Bahnhof Zoo, in fall 2014. After the war, the Americans had started their "re-education program" for the Germans in this building.

Renowned photographers and young talents at C/O Berlin

C/O Berlin wants to present a lively cultural program at a high international level. As an exhibition house for photography, the house shows works by renowned artists and promotes young talents.

From Annie Leibovitz via Anton Corbijn to Sebastião Salgado

In recent years, the C/O Berlin Foundation has presented a large number of works by important photographers, including such illustrious names as Annie Leibovitz, Nan Goldin, Anton Corbijn, Peter Lindbergh, and Sebastião Salgado. Visitors to the museum also have the opportunity to delve even deeper into selected aspects of the shows through lectures and guided tours.
